Kuvailu Poikkeustilan työskentelyä Metsähovin radiotutkimusasemalla: "At Aalto University Metsähovi Radio Observatory we normally make radio astronomical observations 24/7 around the year. Mostly we observe quasars and other distant variable active galaxies. Somebody from the staff is always running the observations, either at the observatory or from home. Now we have exceptionally had a few weeks break in the observations -- not because of the corona virus, but because our antenna motors were replaced. This replacement was scheduled already many months ago. Just before Easter we were finally able to continue our observations again, after the motor replacement and software update. I took the first, approximately one week long observing shift, and started with checking that the hardware and software work as expected. Now, because of the self-isolation, I run everything from home, but even in normal times we often run observations from home at night or during weekends and holidays. So, what is exceptional in this picture is that there is actually nothing very exceptional :). A radio astronomer on duty, observing through the night in the night of 9.-10.4., between Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, and entertaining herself with the brand new album from Nightwish that was just released at midnight that night." Kirkkonummella sijaitseva Aalto-yliopiston Metsähovi on Suomen ainoa radioastronominen observatorio ja jatkuvassa käytössä oleva tähtitieteellinen havaintoasema.
